In a review meeting held at 5:30 pm on June 1, the Union Government has announced the cancellation of Class 12 CBSE Board Examinations amidst the current situation of the pandemic in the country. “We have taken a decision that is student-friendly, one that safeguards the health as well as future of our youth,” said PM.
Talking about the results, it is decided that the CBSE will take steps to compile the results of the Class 12 students as per a “well-defined objective criteria” in a time-bound manner. “Class XII results will be made as per well-defined objective criteria in a time-bound manner,” PM said.
Amidst the Covid-19 surge in the country, Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, the Union Education Minister, announced the postponement of Class 12 CBSE Board Exams on 14th April 2021. He further added that the government would examine the situation on June 1 and will share further details subsequently.
