Introduction to MAHARASHTRA SET

University of Pune conducts the State Eligibility test for Assistant Professor [ A.P. ] post.

The exam is conducted twice a year in June/July and December/January.

The SET exam is conducted in languages, management, social science subjects and Engineering graduation or post graduation isn’t included in this.

Paper I: General Aptitude and Teaching research

 

This paper doesn’t have any negative markings for wrong answer. The question are on teaching and research, pedagogy, general knowledge based questions. They can be answered if you know about points like:

Introduction to MAHARASHTRA-SET

 

University Grants Commission has allowed state governments to conduct the State eligibility exam for appointment to Assistant Professorship in State colleges.

 

University of Pune conducts SET exam in Maharashtra. Candidates who clear SET are eligible for Assistant Professorship only in that respective state. They are not eligible for Junior research Fellowship.

Marathi, Hindi, English, Sanskrit, Urdu

 

History, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Defence & strategic Studies, Home Science, Library & Information Science, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Work,

 

Public Administration,

 

Mathematical Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Physics, Chemical Sciences, Life Sciences, Earth Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Geography, Computer Science & Application, Electronic Science, Forensic Science, Commerce, Law,

 

Management (including Business Admn. Mgt./Marketing/ Marketing Mgt./Industrial Relations and Personnel Mgt./ Personnel Mgt./Financial Mgt./Co-operative Management), Education & Physical Education.
